Optimal Channel and Power Allocation for Secondary Users in Cooperative Cognitive Radio Networks

چکیده
Cognitive radios are a natural evolution of Software Defined Radios (SDRs) that are supposed to be equipped with the ability to learn their RF environment and reconfigurability. A cognitive radio can communicate over a primary user’s channel as long as the introduced interference does not degrade the primary Signal-to-Interference-plusNoise-Ratio (SINR) below its minimum Quality of Service (QoS) requirement. In this paper, we employ cooperation in data transmission in order to increase the secondary transmit power limit. We present an optimal power allocation scheme for secondary users in order to achieve maximum SINR. We show that the optimal channel assignment problem that maximizes the sum-rate can be solved via the so-called Hungarian algorithm at a cubic complexity order. Also, we develop a suboptimal algorithm that permits to solve the channel assignment problem with a quadratic complexity order and with a slight performance degradation compared to that of the optimal solution.

Optimal Power Management to Minimize SER in Amplify and-Forward Relay Networks
This paper studies optimal power allocation to minimize symbol error rate (SER) of amplify-and-forward cooperative diversity networks. First, we analytically solve optimal power allocation problem to minimize SER for three different scenarios, namely, multi-branch single-relay, single-branch multi-relay and multi-branch multi-relay cooperative diversity networks, all subject to a given total re...

متن کاملOptimal Power Allocation for Multichannel Cognitive Radio Systems Using Stackelberg Game
We consider a non-orthogonal multiple access scheme e.g. CDMA based cellular multi-channel cognitive radio network (CRN). Here multiple secondary users share a common set of channels simultaneously. For such an environment, we develop a distributed power allocation approach based on a game theoretic formulation among secondary users to satisfy their rate requirement. We model the problem using ...

Cognitive Radio (CR) networks enable dynamic spectrum access and can significantly improve spectral efficiency. Cooperative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) exploits the spatial diversity between CR users to increase sensing accuracy. However, in a realistic scenario, the trustworthy of CSS is vulnerable to Spectrum Sensing Data Falsification (SSDF) attack. In an SSDF attack, some malicious CR users deli...
